Johnny Majors wanted to look like Clooney.
The Tennessee Vols who played for Majors during his legendary coaching career knew him as a firm but fair leader. The barbers at Gambuzza’s Barbershop on Northshore Drive knew him as a cutup who liked to brighten people’s day.
When Emma Grajqevci started cutting Majors’ hair several years ago, he brought in a photo of George Clooney and asked Grajqevci to make him look like the handsome actor. For years, he’d continue telling Gambuzza’s barbers to give him Clooney’s look, and he’d sometimes introduce himself as the actor.
